How to charm an Innkeeper

We got this note from Cammy recently . . . "Would love to stay in the Katydid Casita for one night. We are 4 adults, and 8 yr old and an incredibly charming 6 year old who is used to being pushed down by our large hairy collies. We aren't indigenous to CR (tho we live in rural areas so we are used to cooking on a wood stove, growing our own food, and using an outhouse - none of which I hope we would be doing at Pura Vida Hotel, although we could if we need to) but we can provide a note from her teacher if you want. We are 3 generations who laugh a lot even at your quirky British humor. " How could we say no?

As we have a barely functional postal service and no real street names or addresses we do not advise mailing anything in Costa Rica or to Costa Rica. It's a long story we can tell you when you get here. If you are trying to get books to the local school, the best way is to fly them in with a friend and we will pay the taxi ride of the books from the airport to the hotel and we'll get them to the schools (or you can deliver them yourself).
